Listening Mindfully

When listening mindfully, the person who is speaking to us is the center of our attention. Anything else we are doing, thinking or noticing is a distraction to being present to them. We can mindlessly continue multitasking or we can stop and listen fully, creating a different and more fulfilling interaction in our fast-paced day.

Speaking mindfully is a deliberate form of connecting with others. It begins with intention and attention —carefully considering why, what, when and how we speak.
